Weekend a Roma: dove alloggiare e cosa vedere in 3 giorni

Mie carissime Zaguline,
Da poco tornata nella grigia Milano da un week end nella bella ed elegante Roma, mi ritrovo a rispondere ad una miriade di messaggi di alcune di voi, mie fantastiche lettrici, che mi chiedete dove ho mangiato, dove ho dormito e che cosa ho fatto negli ultimi giorni.
Alcune di voi hanno seguito tutto molto attentamente, sia nelle mie storie di Instagram, sia nei miei post e nell’archivio “Roma”…ovviamente però, curiose come siete, queste cose non vi sono bastate….ed io sono tanto felice di potervi raccontare tutto quanto per filo e per segno!
Per tagliare la testa al toro, ho deciso di scrivere il seguente blog post, così da poter rispondere a tutte le domande che ci sono state e quelle che eventualmente potrebbero esserci.
Iniziamo!

Giorno 1: Hotel Splendide Royal & Beef Bazaar

Arrivati a Roma siamo andati a scoprire il nostro meraviglioso albergo tra Via Veneto e Villa Borghese, ovvero nell’incantevole cena di questa città eterna.
L’Hotel Splendide Royal è un raffinato palazzo, lussuosissimo, dallo stile barocco. Un posto straboccante di raffinatezza ed eleganza, una scoperta veramente indimenticabile. Mi ritrovo a tornare bambina, ed ammirare con sguardo incredulo gli immensi quadri che riempiono con infinita eleganza le immense pareti.
Un luogo idilliaco nel cuore di una delle città più belle del mondo.
Ci accoglie uno staff professionale e sorridente che con grande gentilezza ci accompagna nella nostra maestosa e particolarmente richiesta suite.
Una camera realmente mozzafiato, con una terrazza assolutamente perfetta che affaccia su Villa Borghese, lo stile barocco dell’intera struttura aleggia anche nella suite che è di un’eleganza particolarmente azzeccata.
Charlie ed io rimaniamo veramente sbalorditi dalla tradizione che ne emerge accompagnata dalle più moderne tecnologie che assicurano il nostro più perfetto comfort.
Dopo essermi fatta un bel bagno rilassante nella gigantesca vasca, mi preparo e saluto la mia metà per andare ad incontrare due mie carinissime Zaguline romane!
Camminando per le strade romane nelle vicinanze dell’albergo incontro due ragazze pure, sorridenti, sveglie ed intelligente con cui prendo un delizioso aperitivo nel quale parliamo di tutto e di più.
È stato uno dei momenti più belli della mia vacanza romana potere finalmente incontrare due affettuosissime Zaguline e poterle fare entrare un pochino nel mio mondo in modo reale e non virtuale, per una volta!
Dopo questo piacevole momento in Via Veneto, sono ritornata in albergo per un veloce cambio look prima di andare a cena con il mio Charlie.
La prima sera siamo andati a mangiare nel Tempio della Carne, il Beef Bazaar è famoso poiché offre un servizio di carne express in un ristorante minuziosamente decorato e ben strutturato, con uno staff dalle divise veramente “fighissime”, con un’esperienza e una conoscenza della carne veramente non da tutti.
Il Beef Bazaar propone un’esperienza culinaria diversa dal solito, il cliente ha a disposizione una miriade di carne proveniente da tutto il mondo, modi di cottura veramente infinite e poi una lunga lista di contorni con il quale abbinare il pezzo forte (ovvero la carne scelta)!!!
Charlie ha scelto un delizioso e raffinato filetto danese, io mi sono lasciata consigliare dall’esperto cameriere del Beef Bazar prendendo un entrecôte di carne piemontese con patate al forno. SPETTACOLARE! Non credo di aver mai mangiato una carne tanto buona in tutta la mia vita, poter vedere la cucina ai fornelli darsi da fare con tutti questi tipi carne e tutte le diverse cotture e modi mi ha veramente lasciata molto sbalordita…
I dolci, poi….una torta a base di Oreo e una torta di mele….ottimo, ve lo consiglio veramente vivamente!!!!

Giorno 2: Palazzi Maestosi & Zia Restaurant

Dopo avere passato una splendida notte coccolati nell’immenso letto della nostra Suite con vista su Villa Borghese, ci prepariamo e andiamo a fare un’invidiabile prima colazione all’Hotel Splendide Royal. La vista mozzafiato ci ha accompagnati anche in questo momento veramente splendido….sapete che io sono una grande amante (da sempre e per sempre) delle prime colazioni, sopratutto in questi pazzeschi alberghi dove ho la fortuna di soggiornare.
A stomaco pieno, ci incamminiamo verso la prima destinazione, che da anni voglio andare a scoprire, ovvero il pazzesco Palazzo Colonna…non so se ricordate l’ultima scena del film “Vacanze Romane” con l’immortale Audrey Hepburn…ecco Palazzo Colonna ha nel suo interno la Galleria Colonna, indimenticabile nella maestosità ed eleganza!!! Per un attimo, mi sono sentita tanto vicina alla mia musa, devo ammettere che mi sono quasi commossa a sapermi nello stesso luogo della grandissima Audrey.
Dopo la splendida visita del Palazzo Colonna ed una lunga passeggiata nelle più belle vie romane, ci siamo ritrovati in Via Mameli, e abbiamo deciso di concederci un pranzo gourmet nello strepitoso nello Zia Restaurant di Les Collectionneurs.
In questo ambiente elegantemente informale, abbiamo scoperto la preziosa cucina dello Chef Antonio Ziantoni, giovanissimo, che ha deciso di aprire qualche mese fa questo gioiello culinario che esprime a pieno la sua personalità e la sua visione di quelle che è la cucina.
Dei piatti decisi, coerenti, con gran carattere, con abbinamenti di materie prime chiaramente perfettamente selezionate.
L’ambiente, realizzato dall’architetto Anton Cristell è, come ha detto Charlie, “elegantemente informale”…la tradizione e l’alta qualità si incontrano in Via Mameli per farci vivere un’esperienza culinaria veramente eccezionale ed indimenticabile con piatti super ricercati, dai gusti incredibilmente ben calibrati, temperature ottimali che permettono al cliente di vivere attimi veramente unici.
Dopo aver salutato il Zia Restaurant, con la promessa di ritornarci molto presto, ci incamminiamo verso un secondo Palazzo barocco… il Doria Pamphilj…veramente incredibile, con allestimenti per questo imminente Natale che rendevano l’insieme veramente molto raffinato ed eleganti, i quadri che ricoprivano le alte pareti del Palazzo mi sono piaciuto tanto.
Dopo una lunga giornata, piena di sorprese, incredibili palazzi e momenti veramente indimenticabili, Charlie ed io ci siamo connessi un aperitivo con vista mozzafiato al settimo piano del nostro bellissimo Hotel Splendide Royal, il Mirabelle Restaurant è in assoluto un dei posti più belli dove prendere un aperitivo durante un week end nella capitale italiana. Stuzzichini e prelibatezze, per un momento di pace e relax in un ambiente strepitoso ed unico.
Dopo una cena da zum’berto, Charlie ed io ci siamo fiondati nel nostro lettone, e ci siamo goduti l’incantevole Suite che avremmo dovuto lasciare il seguente giorno, per tornare alla nostra quotidianità milanese.

Giorno 3: Breakfast in bed & Desideri Espressi

Non avrei potuto chiedere di meglio….una prima colazione veramente incredibile, un risveglio di una dolcezza e di una bontà direttamente nel nostro lettone, il cappuccino caldo caldo con un tocco di cacao sulla mousse ancora me lo ricordo…!!!!
Dolci, dolcini, dolcetti, marmellate di tutti i tipi e gusti, da abbinare con caldi Waffle appena sfornati, qualche fragole e diversi succhi di frutta…!! Un paradiso vero e proprio.
Dopo il triste check out dal Hotel Splendide Royal, non poteva mancare la fotografia alla Fontana di Trevi, seguita da una monetina ed un desiderio espresso….un momento per me cruciale ogni volta che vengo nella bella Roma!
E CHIUF CHIUF…si riparte verso Milano, alla scoperta di nuove persone, avventure e chissà, anche qualche bel progetto che potrò raccontarvi con grande entusiasmo!

I am recently returned in Milan from a weekend in the beautiful Rome and I find myself answering to many of you guys about my trip…you all want to know in details what I have eat, do and where was I staying at. Well, this blog post is the answer to all of your questions….and I am very happy to be able to reach to you guys and share with you all the details about my journey in Rome!
Let’s begin!

Day 1

Arrived in Rome we went to discover our wonderful hotel between Via Veneto and Villa Borghese, or in the enchanting dinner of this eternal city.
Hotel Splendide Royal is a refined, luxurious building, with a baroque style. An overflowing place of refinement and elegance, a truly unforgettable discovery. I find myself returning as a child, and admiring with incredulous eyes the immense paintings that fill the immense walls with infinite elegance.
An idyllic place in the heart of one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
A professional and smiling staff welcomes us with great kindness and accompanies us in our majestic and particularly requested suite.
A truly breathtaking room, with an absolutely perfect terrace overlooking Villa Borghese, the baroque style of the whole structure also hovers in the suite that is of a particularly apt elegance.
Charlie and I are truly stunned by the tradition that emerges accompanied by the most modern technologies that ensure our most perfect comfort.
After having had a nice relaxing bath in the giant tub, I prepare and greet my half to go to meet two of my cute Roman Zaguline!
Walking through the Roman streets near the hotel I meet two girls who are pure, smiling, smart and smart, with whom I take a delicious aperitif in which we talk about everything and more.
It was one of the most beautiful moments of my Roman vacation to finally meet two very affectionate Zaguline and to let them enter a little bit in my world in a real and not virtual way, for once!
After this pleasant moment in Via Veneto, I returned to the hotel for a quick change of look before going to dinner with my Charlie.
The first night we went to eat in the Temple of Meat, the Beef Bazaar is famous because it offers an express meat service in a restaurant meticulously decorated and well structured, with a staff from the really “very cool” uniforms, with experience and knowledge of meat really not for everyone.
The Beef Bazaar offers a different culinary experience, the customer has a myriad of meat from all over the world, really endless cooking modes and then a long list of side dishes with which to combine the strong piece (that is the meat choice)!!!
Charlie chose a delicious and refined Danish fillet, I have been advised by the expert waiter of the Beef Bazar, taking an entrecôte of Piedmontese meat with baked potatoes. SPECTACULAR! I do not think I’ve ever eaten such good meat in my whole life, being able to see the kitchen in the kitchen, getting busy with all these types of meat and all the different cooking and ways has really left me very stunned …
The desserts, then … a cake made with Oreo and an apple pie … .very good, I really recommend it !!

Day 2

After spending a wonderful night pampered in the immense bed of our Suite overlooking the Villa Borghese, we prepare and go for an enviable breakfast at the Splendide Royal Hotel. The breathtaking view has accompanied us even in this moment really beautiful …. I know that I am a great lover (always and forever) of the breakfasts, especially in these crazy hotels where I’m lucky enough to stay.
On a full stomach, we walk towards the first destination, which for years I want to discover, or the crazy Palazzo Colonna … I do not know if you remember the last scene of the film “Roman Holiday” with the immortal Audrey Hepburn … here Palazzo Colonna has inside the Galleria Colonna, unforgettable in its majesty and elegance !!! For a moment, I felt so close to my muse, I must admit that I almost moved to know in the same place of the great Audrey.
After the splendid visit of the Palazzo Colonna and a long walk in the most beautiful Roman streets, we found ourselves in Via Mameli, and we decided to give us a gourmet lunch in the amazing Zia Restaurant of Les Collectionneurs.
In this elegantly informal environment, we discovered the precious cuisine of Chef Antonio Ziantoni, very young, who decided to open a few months ago this culinary jewel that fully expresses his personality and his vision of what the kitchen is.
The dishes are decisive, consistent, with great character, with combinations of clearly selected raw materials.
The environment, designed by architect Anton Cristell is, as Charlie said, “elegantly informal” … tradition and high quality meet in Via Mameli to make us live a truly exceptional and unforgettable culinary experience with super-refined dishes, from incredibly well-calibrated tastes, optimal temperatures that allow the customer to experience truly unique moments.
After saying goodbye to the Zia Restaurant, with the promise of returning very soon, we walk towards a second Baroque Palace … the Doria Pamphilj … truly incredible, with arrangements for this upcoming Christmas that made the whole really very refined and elegant, the paintings that I loved the high walls of the Palace.
After a long day full of surprises, incredible buildings and truly unforgettable moments, Charlie and I connected an aperitif with a breathtaking view on the seventh floor of our beautiful Hotel Splendide Royal, the Mirabelle Restaurant is by far one of the most beautiful places to take an aperitif during a weekend in the Italian capital. Appetizers and delicacies, for a moment of peace and relaxation in an amazing and unique environment.
After a dinner by zum’berto, Charlie and I went in our Latvian, and we enjoyed the lovely Suite that we would have to leave the following day, to return to our daily life in Milan.

Day 3

I could not have asked for anything better … a truly incredible breakfast, a revival of a sweetness and a goodness directly in our Latvian, warm hot cappuccino with a touch of cocoa on the mousse I still remember … !!!!
Sweets, sweets, sweets, jams of all kinds and tastes, to combine with warm freshly baked Waffles, some strawberries and different fruit juices … !! A real paradise.
After the sad check out by the Hotel Splendide Royal, you could not miss the photograph of the Trevi Fountain, followed by a dime and an expressed desire …. A crucial moment for me every time I come to beautiful Rome!
AND CHIUF CHIUF … we leave for Milan, to discover new people, adventures and who knows, even some nice project that I can tell you with great enthusiasm!
