Weekend a Roma: cosa vedere e dove andare

Ormai sono anni che mi seguite e avete imparato a conoscermi, sapete quanto i viaggi siano fondamentali per me, quanto ami esplorare e scoprire nuovi posti ma anche riscoprire delle destinazioni che non mi sono completamente sconosciute ma che ogni volta riescono ad affascinarmi per la loro bellezza.

Sicuramente tappa fissa è La Fontana di Trevi che mi ricorda quella fenomenale scena del bagno in “La Dolce Vita”, le antiche rovine che mi affascinano sempre come il Colosseo e il Foro. Quando ammiro tutte le incredibile architetture e bellezze che Roma ha da offrire, mi rendo conto di quanto noi italiani siamo fortunati, perché abbiamo il vantaggio di essere nati e cresciuti in un paese debordante di storia, di architettura, di tradizione… una destinazione perfetta per un week end, per passare qualche giorno immersi in una dimensione sublime, quasi surreale ed affascinante.
Sono stata molto fortunata perché sono riuscita a recarmi a Roma qualche giorno fa e voglio condividere con voi le esperienze, le emozioni e sensazioni provate, ma anche consigliarvi qualche posticino e monumento che non potete assolutamente perdervi la prossima volta che andate nella capitale italiana.
Amo viaggiare, sapere che mi aspetta a qualche ore di treno, una destinazione ambita da tutti, quasi venerata nel mondo intero, mi riempie il cuore di gioia. Io conosco bene la città di Roma ma è sempre come se fosse la prima volta, anche perché decido di modificare i ristoranti, gli alberghi e anche alcune delle visite proprio per scoprire nuove sfaccettature della città eterna.

Roma giorno 1: dove soggiornare e mangiare

Arrivati a Roma Termini nel tardo pomeriggio, abbiamo aspettato qualche minuto prima di riuscire ad intercettare un taxi, ovviamente dopo essere entrati all’interno del veicolo siamo stati immersi di un accento e di un modo di fare totalmente romano. Adoro i romani, hanno una simpatia innata che gli rende molto vicini ai miei concittadini sociali. Un tassista solare, garbato ed estremamente spiritoso che ci ha accompagnati al Hotel Hassler della Collezione Leading Hotels of The World, storico hotel cinque stelle lusso della capitale, situato sulla sommità della Scalinata di Piazza di Spagna, considerato come punto di riferimento per romani ma anche per i turisti, una vera e propria location di charme e lusso, unica nel suo genere. Grazie alla sua posizione strategica nel cuore del centro storico, l’Hassler è da sempre considerato anche a livello internazionale uno dei migliori alberghi della città, tra le famose vie dello shopping di lusso, come via Condotti, e a pochi minuti a piedi dalle principali attrazioni storiche e culturali, tra cui il Pantheon, la Basilica di San Pietro, il Colosseo, i giardini di Villa Borghese e Fontana di Trevi. L’hotel è rinomato per offrire ricordi indimenticabili grazie all’incantevole vista delle sue terrazze panoramiche, come potete vedere dalle mie foto gode di uno scenario unico! Dopo essere stati accompagnati nella nostra elegante e regale suite, di circa 45 mq una stanza bellissima con un grande guardaroba ed uno spazio bagno tutto in marmo con doppio lavandino, e come avete visto, con doccia e vasca separati. Ho amato lo stile e l’arredo di questa stanza perché mi ha trasmesso un’atmosfera unica, super chic e confortevole, per non parlare poi dell’affaccio che era proprio su Piazza di Spagna… Come potete vedere dalle foto avevo un letto spettacolare chiamato king proprio per le sue dimensioni. Per non parlare poi del bellissimo terrazzo panoramico al 7° piano, dove si può fare un romantico aperitivo!! Che dire un posto da mille e una notte.
Dopo aver perlustrato tutta la stanza ci siamo preparati per una cena tutta romana, in un ristorante che mi era stato consigliato da una mia cara amica… La Salumeria Roscioli.
Una cena sfiziosa, romana, ottima, la Salumeria Risciola ha una proposta talmente ampia che siamo stati qualche minuto a riflettere perché non volevamo sbagliare…in realtà non si sbaglia mai perché ogni piatto è una delizia, un capolavoro. Piatti classici affiancati ad alcuni ingredienti esotici, non solo Made In italy, una combinazione di sapori sensazionale.
Ritornati alla nostra accogliente, spaziosa camera d’albergo, ci siamo addormentati come degli angioletti, felici e beati in un’atmosfera chic e molto confortevole.
La prima colazione dell’Hotel Hassler di Roma rimarrà tra le più buone che io abbia mai mangiato, una location elegantemente arredata, con splendide selezioni di prodotti provenienti dal mondo intero per soddisfare qualsiasi desiderio, una prima colazione ricca di gusto e di pietanze saporite….lo dico sempre che la prima colazione è il pasto più importante della giornata!!!

Roma giorno 2: dove soggiornare e mangiare

Pronti per una giornata carica di visite, scoperte e cultura, ci siamo incamminati verso le vie e i monumenti principali della città eterna. Prima destinazione… un cambio albergo!
Siamo andati ad sistemare le valigie a Palazzo Manfredi Hotel Relais Chateaux, stupendo, grandioso e maestoso, che affaccia sullo spettacolare Colosseo.
La camera strepitosa, lussuosa, tradizionale con alcuni tocchi di modernità, espressione di bellezza pura, chiara e curata.
Dopo avere scoperto il secondo albergo che ci avrebbe ospitati nella città eterna, una location magnifica, una dimora lussuosa a cinque stelle, siamo andati a riempirci gli occhi a Palazzo Barberini e Palazzo Braschi, all’interno abbiamo ammirato delle mostre assolutamente irresistibili.
Bernini…Borromini… quante meraviglie ci sono state lasciate come prova del passaggio dell’uomo prima di noi…l’arte in tutta la bellezza, l’architettura in tutta la sua grandezza.
Una giornata spettacolare, benché piovosa che è stata suddivisa in due parti con un pranzo da Ciao Checca, subito dietro al Parlamento, a Campo Marzio, con proposte di piatti giovani, frizzanti e moderni, un pranzo veramente sano e accogliente. Vi consiglio la loro specialità la pasta alla Checca, una ricetta della famiglia che è super buona e leggera. Sono stata travolta dalla bellissima filosofia di questo posto perché  cucinano ricette di casa fatte al momento, condimenti a crudo, piatti completati davanti ai vostri occhi con il giusto bilanciamento di fibre, carboidrati e proteine, preparati con le migliori materie prime possibili.
È una nuova filosofia che qui in Italia ancora non c’è, o meglio c’è per altri tipi di cucina, ma no la nostra! Infatti ho chiesto al proprietario quando pensava di aprire un posto del genere qui a Milano… stay tuned amici ;). Ma poi anche l’arredamento di questo ristorante è fantastico, potete vedere dalle foto, e vi assicuro che nulla è lasciato al caso. Veramente consigliatissimo! Dopo di che potete scegliere se mangiare all’interno del punto vendita o portare le nostre ricette via con voi nel centro storico più bello del mondo. Abbiamo scelto Ciao Checca proprio per mangiare bene ma leggero visto che dovevamo proseguire nel nostro giro turistico!
Una giornata indimenticabile, dove ho riscoperto luoghi con occhi diversi, la città eterna è veramente eterna e non smette mai di stupire con la sua bellezza e grandezza.
Dopo essere rimasti assolutamente incantati da queste numerose visite, ci siamo andati a riposare qualche attimo in albergo. Lo splendido edificio di Palazzo Manfredi nasce nel XVII secolo come Casino della Famiglia Evangelisti, progettato dall’architetto Giovanni Battista Mola. In seguito venne ceduto alla Venerabile Confraternita della Ss Trinità dei Pellegrini e dei Convalescenti, come ricordano le due lapidi sulla facciata.
Nel 2002 il palazzo è stato acquistato dal Conte Goffredo Manfredi, uno dei più famosi imprenditori e costruttori italiani, e grazie a lui è nato Palazzo Manfredi, oggi splendido hotel di lusso. A memoria del passato e dello stile della nobile famiglia Manfredi si possono ancora leggere sulla facciata dell’altana due scritte in latino, “Fortuna duce”, con la fortuna come guida, e “Virtute Comite”, con la virtù come compagna, citazione della famosa massima di Cicerone. La sua posizione è veramente particolare oltre ad essere incredibile si trova di fronte al Colosseo oltre ad avere a soli 7 minuti il Campidoglio e il Foro Romano e poi volgiamo parlare del meraviglioso Ristorante stellato Aroma che si trova all’ultimo piano dell’albergo con la terrazza vista Colosseo? Io ho amato questa atmosfera, abbiamo preso un aperitivo con lo sfondo il Colosseo colorato di Rosso (purtroppo per lavori in corso il ristorante era chiuso, ma abbiamo vissuto lo stesso la bellissima atmosfera del momento). Infatti dopo esserci presi l’aperitivo ci siamo preparati per andare a cena in un altro ottimo posto che vi consiglio a tutte, che si chiama ViviBistrot.
Situato di fronte a Piazza Navona, vi permette di andare a fare un giro intorno a questa storica Piazza e scoprire alcune piccole viuzze che magari non conoscevate.
Il ViviBistrot ci ha riempito la pancia di delicatezze, ottimi piatti, ben calibrati con prodotti della regione, succulenti…!!! Un posto magnifico all’interno di Palazzo Braschi, cucina prettamente Bio basata su principi di sostenibilità e scelte precise, senza mai rinunciare al gusto. Inutile dirvi che buonissima cena salutare e gustosa io abbia mangiato (potete vedere le foto) e poi con uno scenario pazzesco, un tavolo rivolto su Piazza Navona. Beh devo dire che in questo viaggio non sono mancati gli scenari, ovunque mi girassi c’era qualcosa che mi lasciava senza parole.

Roma 3 giorni di emozioni 

Sono sempre felice di viaggiare, non sempre di tornare a casa, sono stata divinamente a Roma, mi sono sentita leggera, coccolata e libera di ammirare bellezze create dall’uomo, straordinarie architetture che mi hanno riempito gli occhi ed il cuore.
Roma è una gemma preziosa che abbiamo la fortuna di chiamare la nostra amata capitale, non bisogna mai sottovalutarne la bellezza, la grandezza e la storicità. Una città estremamente importante per tutti noi italiani, ma anche per il resto del mondo che la vede come una testimonianza dell’Impero Romano d’Occidente e della potenza che gli imperatori avevano tra le mani.
Il Hassler Hotel di Roma è all’altezza di questa città, posizionato in modo assolutamente strategico, affianca ogni monumento fondamentale al quale ci si può tranquillamente arrivare in qualche minuto, è uno scrigno di lusso ed eleganza, accogliente, curato nei minimi dettagli e decorato con un’eleganza ed uno charme veramente incredibile.
Palazzo Manfredi mi ha incantata, ogni mio desiderio è stato soddisfatto, mi sono sentita a casa, una dimora lussuosa, maestosa, magnificamente arredata.
Diciamo che i due alberghi pur essendo strutturalmente diversi, non sono in contrasto, perché offrono un strepitoso servizio, un’esperienza lussuosa, unica e sorprendente!
Sono stata veramente bene, mi sono trovata come poche volte in vita mia, sono stata coccolata giorno e notte, ho visto bellezze uniche e straordinarie, torno a casa con un sorriso stampato e tanta voglia di continuare a fare quello che più amo….viaggiare per poi raccontarvelo!

EN Roma : what to see and where to go in a 3 days trip to the Eternal City

I have been followed by you guys for a long time and you actually do know me very well, I believe that you have understand how much I adore travelling and how much I enjoy exploring new cities or discover once again beautiful and magnificent cities.

Roma : what to see, where to sleep and where to eat

You must go to the Trevi Fountain that reminds me of that scene in “La Dolce Vita”, but also you have to check the ancient ruins like the Colosseum and the Foro Romano. When I admire all the incredible architecture and beauty that Rome has to offer, I realise how luck Italian are , because we have the advantage of being born and raised in a country that is overflowing with history, architecture, tradition … a perfect destination for a weekend, to spend a few days immersed in a sublime, almost surreal and fascinating dimension. I was very lucky because I managed to go to Rome a few days ago and I want to share with you experiences, emotions and feelings, but also recommend some niche and monument that you can not miss the next time you go to the Italian capital.
I love to travel, knowing that a few hours away a have cities that all the people in the world admire is such a privilege, this feeling really fills my heart with joy. I do know kind of well the city of Rome but it is always like the first time, also because I try to discover every time decide different restaurants, hotels and also some of the monuments…just to keep the curiosity and the learning going, and to admire different shades of the eternal city.

Roma Day 1 : where to stay and where to grab something tasty to eat

Arrived in Roma Termini in the late afternoon, we waited a few minutes before being able to intercept a taxi, obviously after entering the vehicle we were immersed in an accent and a totally Roman way of doing things. I love the Romans, they have an innate sympathy that makes them very close to my fellow citizens.
A solar taxi driver, polite and extremely witty, who accompanied us to the Hassler Hotel of the Leading Hotels of The World Collection, a historic five-star luxury hotel located on the top of the Spanish Steps, considered as a reference point for Romans but also for tourists, a real location of charm and luxury, unique in its kind for an incredible and unforgettable experience. Thanks to its strategic position in the heart of the historical center, Hassler has always been considered internationally one of the best hotels in the city, among the famous luxury shopping streets, such as Via Condotti, and a few minutes walk from the main attractions historical and cultural, including the Pantheon, the Basilica of San Pietro, the Colosseum, the gardens of Villa Borghese and Fontana di Trevi.
The hotel is renowned for offering unforgettable memories thanks to the enchanting view of its panoramic terraces, as you can see from my photos it enjoys a unique scenery! After being accompanied in our elegant and royal suite, about 45 square meters a very elegant room with a beautiful wardrobe and a bathroom space all in marble with double sink, and as you have seen, with separate shower and tub. I loved the style and decor of this room because it gave me a unique atmosphere, super chic and comfortable, not to mention the view that was right on Piazza di Spagna … As you can see from the photos I had a bed spectacular called king due to its size. Not to mention the beautiful panoramic terrace on the 7th floor, where you can have a romantic aperitif !! What about a place for a thousand and one nights.
After scouring the whole room we prepared for an all-Roman dinner in a restaurant that was recommended to me by a dear friend of mine … La Salumeria Roscioli. A delicious dinner, Roman, excellent, the Salumeria Risciola has such a wide proposal that we have been a few minutes to reflect because we did not want to make mistakes … in fact, you’re never wrong because every dish is a delight, a masterpiece. Classic dishes alongside some exotic ingredients, not just Made In Italy, a combination of sensational flavors.
Returning to our cozy, spacious hotel room, we fell asleep like little angels, happy and blessed in a chic and very comfortable atmosphere. The breakfast of the Hotel Hassler in Rome will remain among the best that I have ever eaten, an elegantly furnished location, with splendid selections of products from the whole world to satisfy any desire, a rich breakfast of taste and tasty dishes … I always say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day !!!

Roma Day 2 : where to find a peaceful place to sleep and wonderful food

Palazzo Manfredi and cultural day. Ready for a day full of visits, discoveries and culture, we walked towards the main streets and monuments of the Eternal City. First destination … a hotel change! We went to support the suitcases at Palazzo Manfredi, wonderful, grandiose and majestic, overlooking the mythical Colosseum. The amazing, luxurious, traditional room with some touches of modernity, expression of pure beauty, clear and cared for. After discovering the second hotel that would host us in the Eternal City, a magnificent location, a luxurious five-star residence, we went to fill our eyes at Palazzo Barberini and Palazzo Braschi, inside we have admired the absolutely irresistible exhibitions.
Bernini … Borromini … how many wonders have been left to us as proof of the passage of man before us … art in all beauty, architecture in all its grandeur.
A spectacular day, although rainy that was divided into two parts with a lunch by Ciao Checca, just behind the Parliament, in Campo Marzio, with proposals for young, sparkling and modern dishes, a truly healthy and welcoming lunch. I recommend their specialty pasta alla Checca, a family recipe that is super good and light. I was overwhelmed by the beautiful philosophy of this place because it cooks home made recipes at the time, raw seasonings, dishes completed before your eyes with the right balance of fiber, carbohydrates and proteins, prepared with the best possible raw materials.
It is a new philosophy that here in Italy still is not there, or rather there is for other types of cuisine, but not ours! In fact, I asked the owner when he was thinking of opening such a place here in Milan … stay tuned friends;). But then even the decor of this restaurant is fantastic, you can see from the photos, and I assure you that nothing is left to chance. Really highly recommended! After that you can choose whether to eat inside the store or take our recipes away with you in the most beautiful historic center of the world. We chose Ciao Checca just to eat well but light since we had to continue on our sightseeing tour!
An incredible day during which I have been able to re discover the eternal city with a pair of new eyes, Rome is a city never stop to amaze me with its beauty and grandeur.
After being absolutely enchanted by these numerous visits, we went to rest for a moment in the hotel. The splendid building of Palazzo Manfredi was founded in the seventeenth century as a Casino of the Evangelisti Family, designed by the architect Giovanni Battista Mola. Later it was ceded to the Venerable Confraternity of the Trinity of the Pilgrims and Convalescents, as the two tombstones on the façade recall.
In 2002 the building was bought by Count Goffredo Manfredi, one of the most famous Italian entrepreneurs and builders, and thanks to him was born Palazzo Manfredi, today a splendid luxury hotel. In memory of the past and the style of the noble Manfredi family one can still read two Latin writings on the altana façade, “Fortuna duce”, with luck as a guide, and “Virtute Comite”, with virtue as a companion, citation of famous maxim of Cicero.
Its location is really special as well as being incredible is in front of the Colosseum as well as having only 7 minutes Campidoglio and the Roman Forum and then we talk about the wonderful Starred Restaurant Aroma that is on the top floor of the hotel with the terrace view Colosseum? I loved this atmosphere, we took an aperitif with the background the Colosseo colored Rosso (unfortunately for work in progress the restaurant was closed, but we lived the same beautiful atmosphere of the moment). In fact, after having had an aperitif we prepared to go to dinner in another great place that I recommend to everyone, which is called ViviBistrot.
Located in front of Piazza Navona, it allows you to go for a ride around this historic square and discover some small alleys that maybe you did not know.
The ViviBistrot has filled our belly with delicacies, excellent dishes, well calibrated with regional products, succulents … !!! A magnificent place inside Palazzo Braschi, a purely organic cuisine based on principles of sustainability and precise choices, without sacrificing taste. Needless to say that healthy and tasty dinner I ate and then with a crazy scenario, a table overlooking Piazza Navona. Well I must say that on this trip there were no shortage of scenery, wherever I turned there was something that left me speechless.

Roma Day 3 : a day full of emotions

I am always happy to travel, not always to go home, I was divinely in Rome, I felt light, pampered and free to admire beauties created by man, extraordinary architectures that have filled my eyes and heart.
Rome is a precious gem that we are lucky to call our beloved capital, we must never underestimate its beauty, grandeur and historicity. An extremely important city for all of us Italians, but also for the rest of the world that sees it as a testimony of the Western Roman Empire and the power that the emperors had in their hands.
The Hassler Hotel in Rome lives up to this city, positioned in an absolutely strategic, alongside every fundamental monument to which you can easily arrive in a few minutes, is a treasure trove of luxury and elegance, welcoming, cared for down to the smallest detail and decorated with a truly incredible elegance and charm. Palazzo Manfredi enchanted me, my every wish was satisfied, I felt at home, a luxurious, majestic, beautifully furnished residence.
Let’s say that the two hotels, although structurally different, are not in contrast, because they offer an amazing service, a luxurious, unique and surprising experience! I was really good, I found myself a few times in my life, I was pampered day and night, I saw unique and extraordinary beauties, I return home with a smile and a great desire to continue doing what I love …. and then tell it to you!
