New York guida e consigli per un viaggio indimenticabile

Buongiorno amici… eccomi qui per raccontarvi il mio bellissimo viaggio a New York… I miei primi 40 anni e la “città” che ho scelto per festeggiarli in modo unico, esclusivo e fantastico…
Come avete già letto QUI… ho scelto 3 alberghi in 3 zone diverse per potervi poi suggerire tutto quello che c’è da vedere e da fare nella Grande Mela…
Cominciamo con il primo albergo, il Gansevoort in Park Avenue. Un Urban-resort in una delle vie più IN di Manhattan dove il traffico però non reca disturbo perché circoscritto nella parte posteriore dell’isolato. Un bellissimo hotel progettato con interni molto eleganti e moderni; pensate che la hall è di tre piani a tutta altezza, con pavimenti in granito. I lampadari sono favolosi e c’è anche uno stupendo camino. Per un aperitivo o un cocktail esclusivo basta andare sul tetto per godere di uno scenario mozzafiato di Manhattan e, perché no farsi anche un tuffo nella bellissima piscina riscaldata… L’Hotel è dotato di 249 camere, una più bella dell’altra, in posizione invidiabile dove si ha tutto a portata di mano. Come avete visto dai miei social dalla mia stanza si vedeva il bellissimo Empire State Building… E come potete vedere dalle foto al Gansevoort Park si trovano molteplici bar e la sera è piacevole sorseggiare un cocktail in terrazza con musica dal vivo selezionata da dj di spicco. Avete visto la mia meravigliosa suite: confortevole, attrezzata di tutto senza dimenticare il servizio impeccabile… qui sono davvero attenti a tutte le esigenze! Per gli amanti della cucina al Gansevoort trovate il Ristorante Asellina che propone un ottimo brunch e offre un’ ottima cucina Italiana!
Tenete conto che è un albergo che davvero si trova in una zona strategica… appena girate l’angolo, se non volete prendere il taxi, trovate la metropolitana – considerate che il biglietto costa 3$ (oppure potete sempre fare l’abbonamento settimanale). Io con il mio Charlie abbiamo camminato tanto, per scoprire più cose e “scovare” posti esclusivi. A 2 passi dal Gansevoort trovate un parco, dove c’è lo Shake Shack, famosa catena di hamburger Americana, niente a che fare con Mac Donalds o Burger King, neanche da paragonarli… Potete ordinare il vostro hamburger e mangiarlo in uno dei tanti tavolini che trovate in questo carinissimo parco… attenzione che ci sono sempre file lunghe per le ordinazioni quindi non spaventatevi anche perché sono super veloci. E poi parliamoci chiaro: vale la pena aspettare 10 minuti per il top!
Sempre nei dintorni del Gansevoort trovate Starbucks, Bread butter, la pharmacie (io le adoro, entro e mi perdo tra i corridoi e gli scaffali… vendono di tutto e di più), ristoranti di tutti i generi e per chi vuole fare colazione non c’è che l’imbarazzo della scelta, qualsiasi cosa vogliate mangiare è a portata di mano.
Una cosa da fare prima di partire per New York è quella di collegarsi a NYCgo e acquistare la CityPass, è un blocchetto di biglietti che danno accesso a varie attrazioni, vi consiglio di acquistarlo dall’Italia perché ha un costo più basso e comprende i must-see evitando le code (non potete immaginare che fila c’è sempre per acquistare i pass per le singole attrazioni). Con questo blocchetto ho risolto i miei problemi, è bastato ordinarlo tramite il sito e poi sono andata a prenderlo in Time Square nel camioncino di NYCgo ma c’è la possibilità anche di ritirarlo da Macy’s… La prima attrazione che abbiamo visistato è stato il Rockefeller Center: 65 piani… uno scenario pazzesco da togliere il fiato, una giornata calda che mi accarezzava il viso, il mio amore accanto… avevo tutto quello che si può chiedere dalla vita… Appena salite percepite una sensazione di conquista, come se aveste raggiunto una cosa irraggiungibile, siete sopra tutto e tutti, state guardando tutta New York… una città che ti offre tanto e che è in grado di esaudire i desideri (basta crederci e volerli). Amici non potete capire che spettacolo! (basta guardare le foto per capire come si ci si può sentire da un’altezza così…
Scesi dal Rockefeller Center ci siamo diretti al “The Met” altra attrazione che non potete non andare a vedere… Chiamato il Louvre di New York (per farvi capire di cosa si tratta) ha interi piani di dipinti di Monet, Gauguin, Van Gogh… Anzi vi dirò di più, ha molte più opere importanti del Louvre… cose che avete visto solo sui libri di storia dell’arte… Una bellezza paurosa… solo non vi sconsiglio di mangiare all’interno del Met, perché carissimo anche solo mangiando insalate o panini… invece potete prendere un buonissimo hotdog appena fuori dall’ingresso! Ho visto che siete stati tantissimi a seguirmi live su SnapChat e mi avete fatto tantissime domande… Sono contenta che questo mio primo esperimento sui consigli delle BIG Mete vi stia piacendo, tantissimi altri viaggi saranno documentati in questo modo, ve lo prometto.
Usciti dal Met era di strada il Guggenheim Museum di Wright… quante volte l’ho visto sui libri, studiato e ristudiato (tenete conto che Wright è il mio architetto preferito… con la sua casa sulla cascata… un’opera d’arte). Quindi potete capire la mia felicità nel poter vedere da vicino il Guggenheim… Ha progettato qualcosa di meraviglioso avanti con i tempi e, infatti, è tutt’ora moderno. Questi sono i veri Architetti, quelli che non hanno età e che sanno anticipare il futuro…
Da lì abbiamo poi preso un taxi e ci siamo diretti al Gansevoort… Era giunto il momento dello shopping… L’albergo, infatti, è a due passi dalla quinta e settima strada che sono le street per eccellenza dello shopping… Amici tenete conto una cosa, il dollaro non è più favorevole come nel passato ed è quasi come l’euro, quindi attenzione anche perché al prezzo che vedete nel cartellino dovete aggiungere l’iva… Diciamo che non c’è più convenienza e che come tutte le grandi città importanti Manhattan è diventata cara!
Quindi guardavo, riguardavo ma non trovavo nulla di conveniente… fino a che sono entrata da Forever21 e allora ditelo ahah! Un altro consiglio che vi vorrei dare… Victoria’s Secret non vende costumi a New York o meglio non ha tutta la collezione, perché viene venduta solo a Miami… Fate una cosa prima di partire per New York, ordinate quello che vi serve sul sito, e fatevelo recapitare in albergo dove alloggiate (non pagate le spese di spedizione e potete trovare costumi, pigiami… insomma tutto senza limite di nessun genere). Io ho fatto così, monitorate il vostro pacco e vi verrà detto l’ora e il giorno che sarà consegnato!! Figo no?!?!
Quindi se cercate un hotel in una zona strategica – in Park Avenue – dove aver tutto a portata di mano, essere coccolati, con piscina e spa a disposizione oltre alla possibilità di godersi un cocktail in terrazze esclusive con vista mozzafiato, servizio perfetto e gentilezza assicurata… ebbene la scelta non può ricadere che sul Gansevoort… Mi sono innamorata del posto e di New York… Seguitemi ancora per consigliarvi altre zone e altre cose che dovete fare quando arrivate nella Grande Mela!

EN Goodmorning everyone… here I am to tell you everything about my trip in New York City. My first fourty years and The city that i have chosen to celebrate my unique and wonderful birthday!
You’ ve already read HERE.. I’ve chosen 3 hotels each one in a different area in order to allow me to show you all the unmissable places.
Let’s speak about my first hotel, the Gansevoort in Park Avenue. It’s an urban-resort situated in one of the most trendy Manhattan street but where traffic is not incovenient because circumscribed in the back of the block. A wonderful hotel with elegant and modern interiors; a spectacular three floors hall and a granite ground. There are also beautiful chandeliers and a cosy fireplace. You can enjoy the stunning Manhattan view from the terrace with an exclusive cocktail or a diving in the heated pool. The hotel have 249 bedrooms each one with an emotional beauty and an enviable location, with everything at hand.
As you have seen on my social networks, I could see the Empire State Building from my window. And in the Gansevoort Park photos you can see that there are so many bars, and you can spend a lovely evening on the terrace with nice live music.
Did you see my extraordinay suite? It was comfortable, with any kind of equipments and of course an excellent room service. For the cooking lovers, you can find here at Gansevoort, the Asellina restaurant for excellent brunches and perfect italian kitchen!
Gansevoort Hotel is strategically located, if you don’t want to take a taxi you can find just around the corner a subway stop (3 dollars per ticket or weekly pass). Charlie and I decided to walk around in order to discover more exclusive places. Nearby Gansevoort there is a park where it’s located a Shake Shack, a very known hamburger chain which is very far from McDonalds and Burger King. You can order and sit on nice tables in the park. Many times there is a long queue but it worth queuing for few minutes for one of the best city hamburger!
Always in the Gansevoort neightbors you can find Starbucks café, Bread Butter, la pharmacie (I love them, later I get lost in the corridors and shelves.. selling everything and more), any kind of restaurant and for those who want to have breakfast you will find everything you want at hand.
Before getting to New York, you must buy the Citypass, a book of tickets that gives you access to many attractions and which allows you to jump the queues. If you take it in Italy it’s cheaper. Booking the citypass I solved my problem and I have took it in Times Square in the NYCgo truck but you can also take it at Macy’s.. The first attraction included was the Rockefeller Center: 65 softness floors hahaha it was such a spectacular view, from the 65th floor with a hot air that caressed my face and my love by my side I couldn’t ask for more!
When you arrive on the top of the building, you feel like realized and accomplished, above everything and everyone looking this wonderful city which is able to fullfil your dreams (just believe it). It’s such an amazing view! (Look at the photos)
After that we went to “The Met”, called the Louvre of New York, it’s rich of Monet, Gaugin, Van Gogh paintings.. It’s like more than the Louvre, you will see paintings that you have seen only in hystoric books.. A really stunnign beauty! I don’t recommend you to eat at The Met because it’s very expensive but you can buy a delicious Hotdog just in front of it.
I’m grateful to everyone who followed me on Snapchat (many of you) and I’m very happy that you have appreciated my first advices on Big destinations, don’t worry because it’s only the first!
Once getting out from The Met, we went obviously at Guggenheim Museum of Wright.. seen and reviews on books but never live! (Whight is my favourite architecture, I’ m crazy about his house fallingwater) You can imagine how happy I was! He has designed a wonderful an ahead from its times museum, in fact is still modern. These are the right and best architectures who know how to anticipate the future.
We took a taxi from the museum to reach Gansevoort and do some shopping. My hotel was nearby the fifth and seventh avenues, in the most famous shopping area.
But be careful because the dollar is no longer beneficial as once, and at the price tags you must add the vat. It’s no more convenient buy in New York and like every big city also Manhattan has become dear.
So I’ve decided to go to Forever21! Victoria’s Secret sells its swimwears only in the Miami store, that’s why I recommend you to buy it online and have it send to your hotel (you don’t pay fees expedition and you can have all what you want.. a perfect deal) I did it, and if you track your parcel you know the arrival day and time.
If you are looking for a hotel in a strategic area- in Park Avenue- where have much comfort, to be pampered, a beautiful swimming pool and spa, an exclusive terrace with stunning view, a perfect service and kindness.. you must go to the Gansevoort! I fall in love with this hotel and with my beloved New York City. Stay tuned to know all the things you should do when you get to the Big Apple.
