To celebrate the new Chanel store at Hysan Place, the brand’s largest boutique in Hong Kong, Chanel has released an exclusive new capsule collection inspired by the city’s contrasts from deep browns to brilliant whites. The uniquely modern elegance and glittering beauty of Hong Kong inspire a luminous colour collection. Exclusive creations for eyes and nails are infused with a metallic glow, evoking the lights of the city as they reflect in the waters of the China Sea.
OMBRES MATELASSÉES which includes five warm tones brought together in an elegant harmony, each embossed with the iconic quilted pattern. The PEARL RIVER palette offers a harmony of Golden white, a Vintage gold nuance and Intense peach for a soft, radiant effect on eyelids. Ideal for sculpting the eyes in a natural or more sophisticated makeup look, intense brown is paired with a very luminous Silver white shade that makes eyes look bigger and illuminates the entire face.
Eastern Light evokes the modernity of Hong Kong with a bold shade of opaque white. I’m normally not a fan of white polish–it never looks right on me. The application and wear of CHANEL Le Vernis is flawless in my book. Western Light  is a sophisticated shade of deep chocolate, burnished by a heart of pearly red. I’m still mad that I missed out on Haute Chocolate years ago, so I was interested to see Western Light. While it’s difficult to appreciate in photos, this is a beautiful polish. See how glossy it is? That is without a top coat!
